Ventro Group, a leading UK building compliance specialist, is pleased to announce the acquisition of R.D. Jukes & Co Ltd, a well-established family business with extensive experience delivering complex electrical engineering works with over 50 years of experience.
Founded in 1968 by Roy and Eiryl Jukes, R.D. Jukes is a family-run business headquartered in Walsall, with a long-standing reputation for delivering specialist electrical engineering services, particularly across the NHS and wider public sector. Now led by Julian Jukes, son of the founders, the business employs 29 people, generates annual revenue of approximately £6 million and has built longstanding customer relationships, with many partnerships spanning more than 20 years. Throughout its growth, R.D. Jukes has remained committed to the core values established by its founders: quality, accountability and collaboration.
R.D. Jukes brings extensive technical expertise across mains infrastructure, power distribution and complex electrical systems, including standby power, UPS and IPS solutions designed to support critical environments. The business also delivers advanced emergency lighting, electrical testing and compliance services, alongside specialist systems such as nurse call, and life-safety systems, where reliability and precision are essential.
The latest addition to the group enhances Ventro’s ability to deliver fully integrated, end-to-end building compliance solutions, combining specialist electrical engineering expertise with the Group’s wider compliance offering. This enables customers to consolidate more of their compliance requirements under one provider, benefiting from joined-up project delivery, simplified contract management and greater confidence that critical building compliance obligations are being managed cohesively.

Following the acquisition of HJS (Harrold Jones Services), this latest milestone further strengthens the Midlands as a strategic priority for Ventro Group, expanding its regional footprint and enhancing capability across central England and beyond.
Commenting on the acquisition, Harvey Melvin CEO of Ventro Group said:
"Bringing R.D. Jukes into the Group is another important step in strengthening our presence in the Midlands. It reflects our continued commitment to the region and its role in the long-term growth of Ventro Group."
Harvey added:
"R.D. Jukes is a business with an exceptional track record and strong cultural foundations. Their commitment to people, accountability, quality, collaboration and respect closely aligns with Ventro’s own values and origins. Preserving that culture while providing the platform for future growth and success is incredibly important to us."
Julian Jukes, Managing Director of R.D. Jukes, added:
"As a family business, maintaining our values and reputation has always been so important for us. Joining Ventro Group allows us to build on that legacy, while benefiting from the scale, support and opportunity that comes with being part of a larger group."
This acquisition further strengthens Ventro Group’s position as a leader in building compliance services, reinforcing its commitment to strategic investment in the Midlands while continuing to build a scalable, high-quality service offering that is built on expertise and trusted for compliance.
