How the Service Works

Assessments are carried out on site and consider system design, usage and condition. Findings are documented clearly, with practical recommendations that can be implemented through a wider compliance programme.

Where required, assessments are reviewed and updated to reflect changes in system use or condition.

How often should you complete a Water Risk Assessment?

Water risk assessments should be reviewed regularly to ensure they remain suitable and reflective of how the building and water systems are currently being used. While there is no fixed legal timeframe, assessments are commonly reviewed every two years as a minimum benchmark. Higher risk or more complex environments may require more frequent reviews, particularly where vulnerable occupants are present. Assessments should also be updated following significant system changes, alterations to building occupancy, identified control failures or any indication that the existing assessment is no longer valid. Regular reviews help ensure ongoing compliance, support effective control measures and reduce the risk of waterborne hazards such as Legionella.

Why Ventro

At Ventro Group, water risk assessments form part of a wider, joined up approach to building compliance. We help clients understand how water compliance connects with the wider operation, maintenance and safety of their buildings. Our assessments provide clear visibility of potential issues, support the prioritisation of remedial actions and help establish practical, long term control measures aligned with current regulatory guidance. By operating across multiple compliance disciplines, we are able to support a more coordinated approach that improves oversight, reduces risk and creates a stronger foundation for ongoing compliance.
