Key Speakers

Air & Water Compliance Director 

Roy Bedford is Director of the Air & Water Compliance Division at Ventro Group, where he leads the development and delivery of practical compliance solutions across the built environment.  

In this session, Roy will focus on the growing importance of air compliance and why effective air quality management is becoming a critical priority for organisations navigating evolving regulatory requirements. 

Roy brings a strong commercial background, having progressed through multiple roles at Springpack from Assistant Sales Executive to Sales Manager before moving into his current leadership role.  His experience enables him to translate complex compliance challenges into clear, practical actions that work in real-world environments.  

During the webinar, Roy will break down TM44 air conditioning inspections, who needs them, what they involve, and how to stay compliant alongside duct cleaning requirements and the risks linked to poor air hygiene. He will also explain how TR19 standards underpin safe, efficient system performance, helping attendees connect industry guidance with day-to-day compliance and risk management.

Lead Consultant NJB Associates

Nick Barsby is the lead consultant for NJB Associates, who specialise in Legionella and Water hygiene consultancy services. Having worked in the environmental sector for over two decades, Nick has a wealth of knowledge and experience around Legionella control, industry best practice and emerging technologies.  

Having spent nearly a decade serving the industry as a committee member at the Legionella Control Association, where he was Director, Chair and Vice Chair for many years, he has a thorough understanding of the expectations of the service levels the industry demands and expects. This experience, combined with a decade working at UKAS accredited laboratories, as well as time working in software and point of use control, place Nick at the forefront of commercial thinking. He has had technical articles published by the Water Management Society, Healthcare Estates and Infection Control journals as well as being one of the founder of the Midlands Legionella Focus Group, which has been running for 5 years.
