FPA (Fire Protection Association)
Howard joined the FPA in 1992 and has held a multitude of roles as the organisation has grown including Training/Information Officer, Principal Consultant, and Director of Operations. He trained formally as a land surveyor before spending 8 years in the construction industry in his early career and has since spent considerable time in the FPA’s fire advisory division.
Working closely with the FPA's Managing Director, Howard ensures that the FPA delivers its mission as the UK’s national fire safety organisation; proactively addressing the causes of the industry whilst upholding the FPA’s values. His varied and thorough knowledge ensures that the needs of our customers and the industry remain the focus of the FPA’s objectives and wider initiatives to move the fire safety agenda forwards by improving standards and best practice.
Brian Harvey
Enforcement Team Lead
National Fire Chiefs Council (NFCC)
Brian has enjoyed a long career in the fire sector and remains enthusiastic and committed to the work of the Fire and Rescue Service. He has extensive experience in firefighting, fire investigation and fire safety, and in 2015 obtained a Bachelor of Engineering degree (with first class honours) in fire engineering. He has taught fire safety and fire investigation at the Fire Service College and has been a tutor at the International College of Engineering and Management in Oman. He has also worked as a fire consultant in the private sector. His current role is Enforcement Lead for the NFCC.

Andrew has been working in Fire Protection for over 25 years, predominantly for manufacturers called Firetherm, who were then taken over by Nullifire ( 18 years ) and then FSI for ( 6 years ). Then he joined Firefly 18 months ago.
